Finishing / custom colors

Nitrocellulose / Color matching

Know far and wide as the most used instrument lacquer, Nitrocellulose offers the best tone characteristics and has the ability to be aged.  It is very hard to get and even harder to get color matching.   Rsm offers full custom nitro colors so choose your rainbow.

Get Cracking

This process involves heating and freezing the nitro.  If done correctly it will also age the paint sheen and add a very slight pitting affect.

Neck relic

Neck was pristine before I got it.

Ripped out the frets to do the relic.

Got Tone

Actual black beauties. Tone of the Gods.

What's up with all the capacitor Voodoo...

What's up with all the capacitor Voodoo...

These capacitors will change your life.  I have multiple clients  that have come back and have installed these in every instrument they own.

Installed a Gretsch 3-way tone selector switch which enables you to select the first capacitor alone, second capacitor alone or wide open with no capacitor in the circuit.  Unbelievable tone monster stuff.  Extra Voodoo.

Meet Bed Sheet

This was one of the funnest projects that I have ever done.

Client wanted everything done to his Wolfgang.

We stripped the paint and started with a cream coat, then a orange coat, then a cream coat, then a red coat, then a cream coat and finally clear.

 All nitro.

 Spectacular.

Next we reliced the back using a pattern off of one of my stage guitars "Blue".

All the divots in the back of the guitar are multi colored and you can see all of the different layers.

The front of the guitar got the same treatment  again using Blue as the pattern.

 Then we Got Cracking!

Well...

Now the neck looked totally out of place.

Since we were going to do a complete fret job anyway why not relic the neck?

The pattern for this relic came from Eddy's neck.

However...

If you are going to relic the neck you may as well get the acid out and relic all of the chrome.

May as well...

Every single little piece was dismantled and done by itself.

Never mind all of that...

It sounds like god and plays like butter.

The Wolfgang Project

Below you will find a picture show of this project from one end to the other.

Enjoy!
